A-Rod is known for being the highest paid athlete in Baseball and probably the world as well. This third baseman is better known for being one of the greatest all around baseball players that has ever played the game! Now this is one monumental title to hold which explains most the pressure that this fantastic young player lives with on a day to day basis.

He was paid an astounding two hundred seventy five million dollars for a ten year contract! This means that it is crucial to be playing at his peak constantly throughout his career in baseball. This pressure eventually got to him through 2001 to 2003 while playing for the Texas Rangers. February of 2009 was when A-Rod admitted steroid use. In 2007 he blatantly lied about his steroid uses during an interview with Katie Couric.

In February of 2009 several reporters of Sports Illustrated reported that Rodriguez tested positive for multiple types of steroids. He was positive for 2 anabolic steroids, testosterone, and primobolan. All of which are on the banned list of performance enhancing supplements.

The biggest cause for all the uproar was that in that same season he won: MVP, broke 300 career home runs in which he hit an astounding 47 in the season, and earned a Silver Slugger Award. Now this evidence was acquired by a anonymous survey which was comprised of willing Player’s. The test results were also government sealed. Out of the 1200 players tested, 104 major league players tested positive, one of which being the same Mr. Rodriguez. Creatine has long been used by athletes as a safe, inexpensive, legal, yet effective performance enhancing supplement.  This nutrient, which is a combination of arginine, glycine, and methionine, has surged in popularity and is now common among even recreational athletes.

Bodybuilders, whether professional or casual, often supplement creatine to boost strength and hypertrophy.  Additionally, creatine aids in recovery and muscle repair, and has been shown to reduce soreness.  When not used for these tasks, creatine is stored in cells to regenerate ATP during intense exercise.  Recent research shows that creatine supplementation isn’t just limited to these athletic contexts, though.

A team of German scientists analyzed the effects of creatine supplementation in mice, attempting to determine whether it had any effect on neurobehavioral tests as well as life span.  The results were significant, across a number of different performance-based assessments.

The mice receiving creatine in the experiment seemed to be more active than the control group, showing a trend toward increased forward motion.  Additionally, creatine appeared to boost nuerobehavioral function, as the mice in the creatine group demonstrated improved performance in an object memory test, which researchers noted was “well-validated” and “a reasonable approximation to corresponding human tests.”  continue reading »

Firstly anabolic steroids are a class of natural and synthetic steroid hormones that promote cell growth and division, resulting in growth of muscle tissue and sometimes bone size and strength. Anabolic steroids are the synthetic derivates of male anabolic hormone testerone. Some anabolic steroids are Deca Durabolin, Sustanon, Winstrol Depot, Winstrol, Andriol, Anavar and other.

The base substance of Deca Durabolin is Nandrolone Decanoate. Nandrolone Decanoate is a male sex hormone given to treat a lack of testosterone, bone breakdown, female breast cancer, stimulation of growth, weight gain, and the making of red cells. Nandrolone Decanoate works as it is easy on the liver and promotes good size and strength gains while reducing body fat.

This drug is unique in that 5a -reductase, the enzyme which converts testosterone to the more-potent DHT, actually converts Nandrolone to a less-potent compound. What do you do if you?re one of the unlucky ones, and the Postal Inspector or Customs identifies an international package addressed to you as containing a controlled substance and seizes it? Maybe it leaked or smelled funny or otherwise looked suspicious. Maybe they x-rayed it, and saw the pills and ampoules. Now they have two options. They can either confiscate your package or they can deliver it under controlled circumstances in order to arrest you. If they choose to confiscate, they will let you know that they have the item by sending you a letter. This correspondence, commonly called a seizure notice or seizure letter, informs you that the feds have the package. The letter advises you of your rights and remedies to challenge the seizure and try to claim the parcel.

You can, of course, challenge the seizure. However, unless you have a lawful basis for possessing the controlled substances, such as a valid prescription, you won’t get far. In fact, your attempts to claim the package may backfire. Identifying yourself to the U.S. Attorney as the person who ordered the juice and intended to receive it could quite probably get you busted.

You can accept the confiscation and forfeiture by checking the box on the form, signing the form, and mailing it back. Or, instead, you can do nothing. The notice will generally provide that if you simply ignore it, they will proceed with administrative proceedings to forfeit the property anyway.
